THE PLACE Firenze once again among the world’s best hotels

For the second consecutive year, THE PLACE Firenze is among the five finalists in the Best Independent Hotel category at the Virtuoso Travel Awards, confirming its position among the world’s best independent hotels and at the forefront of international hospitality.

In 2025, THE PLACE Firenze had already been named by Virtuoso as one of the five global finalists in the category dedicated to the best independent hotels. Last year, moreover, its General Manager Claudio
Meli was named “Hotelier of the Year 2025”.

This important achievement confirms the international standing of THE PLACE and, more broadly, of Italian hospitality at the highest end of the luxury travel market.
